Terms of Service

Contract formation, eligibility and authority

You must be at least 18, or use the service through a parent or legal guardian. A service contract is formed when CardRevive accepts your submission or when you accept a quote, whichever first creates a binding commitment for the relevant service.

You confirm that you own the cards or have the owner's authority to submit them, and that they are not stolen or subject to a claim that prevents us handling them. You must provide accurate card, value, contact, address and payment information.

A submission is locked once lodged. Places cannot be reserved or held while cards are added, and cards cannot be added to a lodged submission. You may withdraw a submission within 24 hours of lodgement, adjust it and lodge it again. Additional cards form a new submission at the pricing, limits and turnaround times current at that time.

The specific quote, invoice or written approval controls the authorised work and price for a card. These terms control other matters. Any non-excludable law prevails over both.

Services, alteration and customer approval

Card restoration can physically or cosmetically alter a card, including its surface, gloss, texture, fibres, edges, corners, shape and visible appearance. A restored card should not later be represented as untouched, unaltered, pack-fresh or factory-original where that would be inaccurate.

We perform only the services you approve, together with ordinary inspection, documentation, handling and packing. A materially different or higher-risk treatment, including slab cracking where it was not already selected, requires further written approval.

We may decline or stop work if a card appears counterfeit or unlawfully held, treatment would be unsafe or inappropriate, required information or approval is missing, an invoice remains unpaid, or capacity prevents us supplying the service in a reasonable time. If we stop for a reason not caused by you, the Refund Policy explains how unused amounts and return costs are handled.

Estimates, quotes, prices and payment

A website or photo estimate is indicative only. Final scope and pricing follow physical assessment. We will present any material change for approval before treatment. A declared value is a customer estimate used for pricing, handling and carrier-cover choices; it is not an agreed valuation, insurance policy or automatic measure of compensation.

The inspection charge depends on the submission type: no charge for a grading-only pass-through, which is not assessed; A$10 for each card in a mail-in or online submission; and A$20 for each card inspected in person at the counter, of which A$10 is credited toward restoration booked at that time. The optional Inspection, Clean and Pregrade service is A$30 per card in addition to the applicable inspection charge. Restoration tiers, specialist repairs, grading, return shipping, carrier Extra Cover and other disclosed services are separate charges. The portal, quote or invoice identifies the components, GST and total payable before payment.

Payment is processed through Stripe. Work generally starts after the relevant invoice is paid, and outstanding grading, adjustment, shipping or other approved amounts must be paid before release. Any payment-processing charge, late-payment interest or recovery cost applies only if disclosed before you commit and permitted by law.

Cancellation and refunds

For a voluntary customer cancellation, the A$25 administration charge is separate from, and additional to, the applicable inspection charge for every card already physically assessed (A$10 per card for a mail-in or online submission; A$20 per card for an in-person inspection). Any lazy-intake administration amount already paid is credited against the A$25 administration component. Return shipping and irrecoverable third-party charges may also apply. Where a voluntary cancellation leaves an unused prepaid amount, the portal ordinarily queues that amount as account credit for staff verification rather than issuing an automatic cash refund. This account-credit rule does not replace a refund, re-performance, compensation or other remedy required by the Australian Consumer Law or other law.

Restoration risks, standard of care and outcomes

Restoration may reveal or worsen pre-existing defects and may alter a card's appearance, surface, dimensions, finish, market value or grading eligibility. Before treatment, we will disclose material card-specific risks that we can reasonably identify and obtain your approval.

You accept the inherent risks specifically disclosed to and accepted by you that may occur even when reasonable care and skill are used. You do not accept, and these terms do not exclude, loss caused by CardRevive's failure to exercise due care and skill or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We do not guarantee complete removal of damage, a grade, a grade increase, authentication, acceptance by a grader, sale price or increase in value. Pre-grading and AI reports are opinions only.

Third-party grading

If you select grading support, CardRevive acts as a handling and submission intermediary. You authorise us to provide the card and necessary submission information to the selected grading company and relevant carriers.

The grading company applies its own rules, fees, declared-value limits, timing, grading, authentication, insurance or compensation terms and appeal processes. CardRevive does not control its decision or guarantee its timeframes. We remain responsible for our own intermediary services to the extent required by law.

Custody, shipping and carrier cover

You arrange and bear the risk of inbound transit until the parcel is delivered to our nominated intake point. We use reasonable care when receiving, recording, storing, treating, packing and dispatching cards. See the Shipping Policy for packing, pickup, return and claims procedures.

CardRevive does not underwrite or provide agreed-value, collectible or property insurance for customer cards while in transit, at the Lab or with a grading company. Our general business insurance is not a policy issued to you and is not represented as agreed-value insurance for a card.

A customer may choose paid Australia Post Extra Cover for an Australian return parcel. It is a carrier compensation product subject to the carrier's terms, proof requirements, exclusions and maximums. It is not CardRevive insurance and does not cover inbound transit, Lab custody, grading-company custody or overseas packages. A selected cover amount is not a guarantee that the carrier will pay that amount.

Australian Consumer Law and liability

Our services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees of due care and skill, fitness for a purpose you make known where applicable, and supply within a reasonable time where no time is fixed. Remedies may include re-performing a service, cancelling an affected service, a refund and compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

To the extent permitted by law, CardRevive is not responsible for loss to the extent it was caused by inaccurate information or unauthorised instructions you supplied, inadequate inbound packaging, a pre-existing or hidden defect, an inherent risk properly disclosed and accepted, or a carrier or grading-company act outside our reasonable control. This does not excuse our own failure to use reasonable care and skill.

Images, website content and intellectual property

We may create condition photographs and treatment records as described in the Privacy Policy. You retain any rights you have in your card and material you upload. You give us a limited permission to use that material only to provide, document and support the requested service and for another use to which you separately consent.

CardRevive website text, original photography, layouts, software and brand marks are owned by CardRevive or its licensors and protected by law. You may not reproduce or commercially distribute them without permission.

Uncollected cards

If cards are not collected, an address is invalid or a return cannot be delivered, we will try to contact you using the submission details. We may recover reasonable, previously disclosed storage, redelivery or return costs.

We deal with uncollected cards only in accordance with the Uncollected Goods Act 1995 (NSW), including applicable notice, time and value-band requirements. CardRevive does not become the owner merely because a card remains uncollected.

Complaints, changes and governing law

Contact info@cardrevive.com.au with your submission reference and the outcome you seek. We will first try to resolve the matter in good faith. You may also contact NSW Fair Trading, seek mediation, apply to NCAT where it has jurisdiction, or use another court or tribunal available to you.

The version accepted for a submission continues to govern that submission. We may update these public terms prospectively, but will seek further approval before applying a material new service term to work already agreed.

These terms are governed by New South Wales law. Nothing in this clause prevents you using a right, regulator, court or tribunal available under applicable consumer law.
